Are you looking to spend more time with your family this holiday season? If you are, then we have to tell you about some of our family traditions and how to make new ones this year. Spending time together with the whole family in one of our Vacation rentals can bring each family member together this holiday season. Thanksgiving Day will be here before you know it and that only means one thing…Christmas Movies begin to play. Let’s take a look at what some of our holiday traditions are and how you too can make new traditions with your family.
Thanksgiving Day is the beginning of the holiday season for many. It’s the day you may get up early, put some cinnamon rolls in the oven as you watch the Macy’s Day Parade. You may be getting ready to cook the turkey and all the trimmings for later in the day and spending time with your family. Don’t forget to bake a pecan pie or pumpkin pie to end the delicious dinner that you have prepared for the whole family. And you may perhaps catch a showing of ‘A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving’ on the television before they show the classic holiday movies.
Enjoy a Few Local Events
Vacationing in Hilton Head this November can allow you to enjoy some of the local events that will be happening locally. Before you eat all the turkey and the trimmings that goes along with Thanksgiving Day dinner, why not try a Turkey Trot. Turkey trots are popular among families because it’s something they can all do together, and you get to see some of our island’s beautiful landscapes. Another favorite event that many loves to check out is the Holiday Market over at the Coastal Discovery Museum. This year the market will be on Tuesday, November 26th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Here you will able to grab some gifts for the holidays from many local artists. What a great way to start your holiday shopping this year!
Family Movie Night
While you are on your vacation this year staying in one of our vacation rentals is where your family can bond a little more. Have a family movie night this year watching some of the classic Christmas movies together. If you have never introduced your kids or grandkids to the classic movie ‘White Christmas’ with Bing Crosby now is the perfect time. Another great movie to watch as a family is ‘A Christmas Story’ and ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’. For years growing up many of our own families have grown up watching many of these Christmas movies during the holiday season.
Spending time with your family during the holiday season will bring you together as a family a little more. Staying in one of our vacation rentals will keep you and your family together this Thanksgiving and Christmas. We hope that you and your family have a great vacation while you make new memories and traditions with the family this year!
