House is beautiful, expensive to rent, but beautiful. Beds are very comfortable (typically not true in rentals). LOVE the 2 living rooms for a big group to be able to separate a bit

Absolutely fabulous home!
We loved 8 Whistling Swan. We've rented many (20+) homes on Hilton Head Island over the past couple of decades, and this is one of our favorites. The two large living spaces are wonderful. Though they are back to back, the sound doesn't travel as much as we first feared. We had folks in both rooms watching different programs, talking and playing games without the chaos that can sometimes come from having several families sharing the same space. The porch is also spacious and makes a great 3rd living area...plus the kitchen is huge, with a table that can easily seat 8-10 and there's a separate dining room that can seat 10-12. This place had everything we could need. The kitchen is organized better than any I've seen...with every appliance, cooking utensil or pan we could imagine using (and we cooked every meal while there). Beds are super comfy. Tubs are luxurious, as is the Master shower with multiple heads and a rain showerhead. This was the first time we've used Coastal Homes and Villas, and I wasn't sure what to expect. Their customer service, from booking to check out, was exemplary. Over and above. Great. The house was clean. We had more than enough of everything...including dishwashing and laundry pods and trash bags (which we usually have to buy or bring). Pool area is great. Hot tub was wonderful with the October chill...and the fenced in yard was perfect for the kids and dog. The private (to home owners and renters) paved walkway to the beach was well maintained and totally safe. Beach was gorgeous, of course. There were great games, puzzles, beach chairs, toys, and books for our use...and we left a few for the next folks. Everyone in our group said "we have to come back here!". That's the highest praise I can give.

Great House
Great house, great management company. We come down to HHI every year and this is the best rental so far. Everything worked perfectly and any communications with the management company were addressed promptly. We will definitely be back next year.

Great house for a large group
My extended family has been visiting HHI for the past 10 years, and this was our favorite rental house by far. Unlike other large rentals, all of the bedrooms in this one are similar and very nice (the only real difference is the size of the bathrooms and the one bunk room for kids), so we avoided the normal fights over who gets the best/worst room. Pros: 2 minute walk to the beach; well appointed; the heated pool was actually warm (even in December); 2 separate living rooms for people to spread out; easy access to bike path. Cons: only one oven; no Bluetooth speaker or Sonos system. Overall we loved it.

Our large family of 16, with mostly adults ranging from 24 to 73 & 2 kids age 2 & 14 - enjoyed the Whistling Swan beach house tremendously! The house is even larger & more beautiful in real life & has plenty of rooms for all of us to spread out! The layout of the house is very well-designed! We enjoyed the sun room with the ceiling fan, the pool & hot tub & the large grill deck! Best of all is the large bunk room on the 2nd room - very roomy for 5 young adults in late 20’s! Thank you for hosting us and we definitely recommend this house in the Sea Pines Plantation - 5 mins walk to beach!

Amazing house!
This house is perfect! It was very spacious, clean, and accommodating for our 12 adult guests ages ranging from 21-81. The pool area is SO nice. The outdoor restroom, size of pool with jacuzzi, and privacy made it awesome. The walk to the beach and beach club was super close and easy. I would definitely rent again!

A Great House for Large Families/Large Groups
This house is very well maintained and in a very desirable location, convenient to beach, Sea Pines Beach Club and Plantation Golf Club. The cooks in our family were thrilled with the well appointed kitchen. We all enjoyed the pool and nearby beach access.

Perfect Home for our Family!
This is our second year staying at 8 Whistling Swan, and after 40 years of visiting Sea Pines, this home is our favorite rental. The location is convenient to shopping and the beach. It easily accommodates our 3 generations with a variety of sleeping options. It is well-maintained and fully stocked with everything one would need. Our favorite features are the pool, the elevator, the screened porch, and ample parking. We would highly recommend this rental property.

The Beach at our Footsteps
This home was perfect in every way. The beach was so close; the rooms comfortable and being an Italian family, the kitchen suited our needs perfectly! Clean? It sparkled. Management company was very accommodating. Oh yes! Going to miss our home away from home. The elevator was a great plus too. Loved it all.

Perfect beach home for family

Our 30th Family Vacation
8 Whistling Swan fit the bill for our 20th family trip. There were 20 of us for most of the week ages ranging from 13-85. Having such large open spaces was wonderful. The bedrooms were more than big enough. The two family rooms helped to satisfy the baseball fans, soccer fans and basketball fans. The large dining areas was the best situation we have had to let everyone visit together while eating. The elevator was helpful for our older family members. Overall it was a great experience.

Family and Friends
We had a great week. The location is perfect with an easy walk to the beach, the hot tub and pool heat worked really well and most importantly the kitchen was well appointed with any type of cooking or food prep stuff you might need and plenty of utensils. We've stayed at this location before and obviously liked it enough to come back and would love to do it again.

Wonderful!
Our vacation was amazing. Before our stay, the management company answered all of our emailed questions patiently and very timely. The property was beautiful and the layout was perfect for the 4 families that stayed here. The beach was a quick 5 minute walk along a beautiful path between houses. Regarding maintenance, one of the doors to the patio got stuck locked. The mgmt company called back on a holiday and sent out people to fix it right away. Despite it being the easy fix they had initially assumed, and having to send out two different repair groups, the lock was fixed quickly.

8 Whistling Swan is a wonderful home, roomy, comfortable and extremely clean. We especially loved the well equipped kitchen and easy walk to the beach. The pool was nice and we appreciated the fenced in pool area, which worked well for our small dog. The screened porch was in use constantly. We would not hesitate to rent this home again.

Spacious home and great service
8 Whistling Swan was a great location for our family vacation -- 2 seniors, 4 adult children, 3 grandchildren and 2 dogs. The spacious and well laid out property provided plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The house was well stocked with supplies, very well maintained and the service from the property management staff was the best we have ever experienced. When a couple of minor issues developed, the property management staff came by within an hour to fix the issues. The grounds were maintained a couple of times while we were there and the pool cleaned three times. We would definitely recommend this property.

Impecable
Why rent this house? 1) Clean from top to bottom. 2) I have rented 1 or 2 VRBO properties for the last 20 years. This one is the best. 3) This house has everyting you will need in the kitched. Each cabinet is labeled with all you will need. 4) Gas grill worked and had a full tank of gas 5) Tommy Bahama beach chairs and pool toys in the garage. TOP PICK!!!!!

Great for Families

Awesome Family Vacation
I cannot say enough about the superior customer service Coastal Home provides their renters. The home was spotless, well stocked and provided an atmosphere of relaxation. The linens and towels were four star hotel quality and plentiful for a family of 15. Although we loved this home we have booked a larger home for our family next year with Coastal Home.

Great Experience!
The property and home were gorgeous! The location was very good relative to the beach, the ocean gate, and the beach club. Coastal Home & Villa went above and beyond our expectations addressing the couple of minor issues we experienced. Their rapid response kept them from becoming major issues. We were initially concerned about refrigerator space with 16 guests. We were pleasantly surprised to find a second refrigerator in the garage that I do not believe was pictured or listed in the description. The ice maker was a favorite and kept up with our demand on coolers/drinks. The outdoor half-bath for the pool area was a great feature as well. Due to COVID, we cooked in most meals and found the kitchen and supplies met our needs. The grill was newer, clean and big enough to accommodate food for 16 people. Furniture, beds, pool chairs and amenities were comfortable and there was plenty of space to be together and/or spread out and find your own space. We would definitely return to this home and are certain we will book again with CHV! I would highly recommend you do the same. We've rented all over the island and all over the country with different rental companies. CHV should conduct clinics on how customer service is addressed. Thank you for a great week!

Cozy home away from home
First thing we noticed was how clean the home was. Many rentals feel used and worn, but this felt warm and inviting. We didn't have the best weather during our stay, so we were in the house more then we planned, but we had a wonderful time inside enjoying the home despite the wind and rain outside. The bedrooms were well sized with plenty of closet space. Kitchen had everything we needed, and more. The garage was spacious and clean as well. Only small thing that would have made the stay easier is if the TVs had instructions for use as they were set up a little differently in various rooms. The Carolina room and outdoor space was relaxing and felt private despite the proximity to neighbors, and the beach was an easy stroll down the path. Overall great experience!

Perfect Vacation Home
2023 was our second year renting 8 Whistling Swan. It is perfect for a large family gathering. The house has absolutely everything you will need. The location is very convenient to the Beach Club and to shopping outside of Sea Pines. The management company is excellent and readily available for requests. We loved the proximity to the beach, and the pool and screened porch were used every day. Another plus was the fenced backyard making it easy to bring our small dog. We would not hesitate to rent the property again.

Wonderful Home in Sea Pines
The home was beautiful, clean, convenient to the beach, great location in Sea Pines (we could walk to the Beach Club for lunch), the kitchen was well-stocked, and the propane tank was filled for the grill. Outdoor handheld shower which came in handy for sandy feet and bathing the dog after time on the beach. Rental agency was very organized and made the booking easy. Not one single complaint and I'm a picky traveler. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful time at Whistling Swan!
We absolutely loved our stay at Whistling Swan. The house was beautiful, well maintained, clean, and so peaceful and quiet. The location was great, being a 5-minute walk to the beach or to the Beach Club. And the bike trails provided easy access to Harbor Town or South Beach and everywhere you could want to go in Sea Pines. The kitchen was well stocked and wonderfully labeled. The home provided comfort, space, and relaxation for our multiple generations, and no one had one bad thing to say about the house. We loved the pool and having such easy access to the beach and enjoyed cooking in the beautiful kitchen and hanging out in the living spaces and screened porch. We are already planning our visit to return next year! We had such a fantastic experience and cannot recommend Coastal Home and Villa enough!

A beautiful home, a wonderful vacation
This was a new location for our annual 2 week family getaway. My wife and I and our whole family (2 adult daughters and son & wife) felt this was the nicest place we've stayed since we began our annual 2 week Christmas/New Year's trips to Sea Pines in 1983. The house was large and excellently laid out and appointed. It was clean and comfortable. Just a short walk to the beach, the dogs loved it as much as we did. We wish we had found this beautiful rental years ago. We have already reserved it for the same two weeks at the end of this year.

Wonderful, spacious home
Our family of 14 easily fit into this home, which is perfectly designed for a group our size. The kids loved the swimming pool (our best decision was to have it heated), and the beach is no more than a five-minute walk away. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable one-week stay.
