Creating new holiday traditions with family is always special, but Thanksgiving in Hilton Head this year could become a new tradition. The start of November usually marks the beginning of the holiday season, when people decide what to serve for Thanksgiving and who to invite. Instead of stressing over whose house Thanksgiving will be at this year, why not come to Hilton Head instead? We guarantee that you and your family will enjoy staying in one of our Hilton Head vacation rentals while celebrating together. Look below to see which events you can’t miss this Thanksgiving with your family.
There’s no better way to start your Thanksgiving Day festivities than by attending this family-friendly event. The fun scavenger hunt will take place at The Sea Pines Resort on Thursday, November 27, 2025, and registration is required. It costs $35 per family and begins at 9:00 am — what’s a better way to have fun before the turkey carving and nap-taking start? Contact the Sea Pines Recreation Department to make reservations by calling ahead.
Celebrate the lighting of the Harbour and enjoy the illuminated figures around the Christmas tree. Harbour Town is the perfect location for you and your family to get into the holiday season with live entertainment and activities. The official lighting of the tree will take place just before the Gregg Russell concert on Friday, November 28th, at 7:30 pm. This will soon become a family tradition that everyone must take part in each year.
Come to the Heritage Farm for the Caramel Apple Festival on Saturday, November 29th, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. There, you can enjoy activities like caramel apples, games, crafts, and more. Each apple costs $6, or you can buy an all-inclusive ticket for $18 per person. Be sure to bring cash. Don’t miss this fun event before you head home and back to reality on Sunday. Who doesn’t love eating caramel apples in the fall?
